Role Description

This is a contract-based, remote role for a Freelance Website Designer / Developer. The role involves designing and building a visually engaging, user-friendly, and responsive website that reflects Tarahi's brand, purpose, and impact.

You will also be responsible for enabling an e-commerce experience, including product discovery, checkout flows, and content sections that highlight artisan stories and Tarahi's social mission. The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to refine both aesthetic and functional aspects of the website while optimizing user experience.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in web and responsive design with a user-centered approach

Skills in graphic design to create brand-aligned visual assets

Experience in front-end development to ensure smooth functionality and performance

Experience designing or developing e-commerce websites (Shopify, WooCommerce, Webflow, or custom builds), including product pages, payment integrations, and order flows

Strong attention to detail with a creative and problem-solving mindset

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in a remote setup

Familiarity with modern design and development tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite

Knowledge of accessibility standards and SEO best practices is a plus

Experience working with purpose-driven brands, D2C startups, or early-stage ventures is a strong plus.
