We are looking for a skilled and creative Freelance Video Editor to collaborate with us on a pay-per-project basis. This role is strictly for freelancers who enjoy flexibility and can deliver high-quality video content for social media and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and produce high-quality, engaging video content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Handle both long-form and short-form videos, ensuring optimization for each platform.
- Perform trimming, cutting, sequencing, transitions, color correction, grading, sound mixing, and adding music, sound effects, captions, and text overlays.
- Create eye-catching thumbnails that clearly communicate video intent and improve click-through rates.
- Design creatives such as Facebook ads, Instagram creatives, banners, emailers, and other digital assets when required.
- Conceptualize visuals by understanding briefs, reference materials, and brand guidelines.
- Use AI tools, editing apps, and creative techniques to ensure fast turnaround and modern output.
- Collaborate remotely with the social media and content teams to align with campaign goals.
- Manage multiple video projects independently and ensure timely delivery.
- Review final outputs and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Stay updated with latest social media trends, editing styles, and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Video Editor (freelance or contractual).
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, or Lightworks.
- Strong creative and visual storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with 3D composition, motion graphics, and special effects is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness in a remote setup.
- A portfolio or sample work demonstrating relevant editing projects is mandatory.
