Role Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Functional Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP GTS solutions. The consultant will be responsible for delivering compliant, scalable global trade processes aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs. This role requires strong functional expertise, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to work closely with business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SAP GTS implementations, including requirements gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support
- Configure and support SAP GTS modules such as:
- Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening
- Customs Management
- Export and Import Management
- Compliance Management
- Product Classification (HTS, ECCN)
- Integrate SAP GTS with ECC and S/4HANA systems and related middleware
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand global trade, logistics, and compliance requirements
- Translate regulatory and operational requirements into SAP GTS solutions
- Work with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments
- Support system testing activities including SIT and UAT
- Prepare functional documentation, configuration guides, and user training materials
- Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 7+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP GTS
- At least one full-cycle SAP GTS implementation experience
- Strong functional knowledge of global trade compliance and customs processes
- Hands-on experience configuring SAP GTS components
- Experience integrating SAP GTS with ECC or S/4HANA systems
- Strong understanding of master data, organizational structures, and document flows
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP GTS Edition for HANA (E4H)
- Exposure to multi-country or global trade implementations
- Knowledge of trade content providers
- Experience with SAP GTS upgrades or migrations
- SAP GTS certification
