Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Freelance ORMB Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) and the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF). The consultant will design, develop, configure, and support ORMB solutions, working closely with business, finance, and IT stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable billing and revenue systems.
This role requires a delivery-oriented engineer with strong problem-solving skills and deep technical knowledge of ORMB internals, integrations, and batch processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom ORMB components using ORMB/ERP and OUAF
- Build and enhance algorithms, batch jobs, business services, plugins, and scripts (Groovy, BPA, Plugin Scripts)
- Extend standard ORMB functionality to meet business requirements
- Configure ORMB modules including billing, pricing, payments, and revenue calculations
- Integrate ORMB with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, REST/XML, XAI/IWS, and file-based integrations
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT, and resolve defects
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to ORMB applications
- Monitor and optimize system performance, including SQL tuning and WebLogic configuration
- Work with DBAs on performance improvements, patches, and enhancements
- Provide ongoing application support and maintenance, including incident and change management
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment guides
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, and operations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and OUAF
- Hands-on experience with ORMB data models, billing rules, pricing, and revenue calculations
- Experience developing ORMB algorithms, batch jobs, and business services
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and batch scheduling tools such as Control-M, TFM, and TRF
- Experience integrating ORMB with external systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
