Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Order Management (OM) and Oracle Configurator to support a configurable product integration and proof-of-concept (POC) initiative.
The consultant will help design and validate the integration between Oracle Configurator and Order Management to support configurable products within the order-to-cash and manufacturing flow. The role requires strong hands-on functional expertise and the ability to independently design and configure Oracle EBS modules.
This engagement focuses on building configurable product models, testing order entry integration, and validating manufacturing flows using Oracle Inventory, BOM, and Configurator setups.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Configurator Implementation
- Design and configure Oracle Configurator models
- Define option classes, rules, dependencies, and validations
- Configure logic to prevent invalid or non-manufacturable product configurations
- Deploy configurator models and validate functionality
Order Management Integration
- Configure Order Management (OM) to support configurable products
- Enable the Configurator button during sales order entry
- Validate order lifecycle including:
- Order entry
- Configuration selection
- Order booking
- Manufacturing flow
Inventory & BOM Setup
- Create configurable model items in Oracle Inventory
- Define BOM structures for configurable products
- Configure ATO / CTO manufacturing models
- Validate interaction between:
- Inventory
- Bills of Materials
- Work in Process
Proof of Concept (POC) Execution
- Build sample configurable product models
- Create test items, components, and rules
- Execute end-to-end order entry testing
- Validate integration between:
- Configurator
- Order Management
- Manufacturing
Testing & Validation
- Create test scenarios and validation cases
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identify functional gaps and propose solutions
Mandatory Skills
- 6+ years Oracle EBS R12 Functional Experience
- Strong experience in Oracle Order Management (OM)
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle Configurator
- Experience configuring:
- Configurator models
- Option classes
- Dependency rules
- UI behavior
- Experience with Inventory Management
- Strong knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Experience supporting ATO / CTO manufacturing
- Understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) process
- Ability to configure configurable model items in Oracle Inventory
