Job Description:
We are looking for a Freelance Creative Director with a strong portfolio of work across government communication, public sector campaigns, and documentary storytelling. The ideal candidate should bring creative leadership, conceptual clarity, and executional excellence across formats like TVCs, documentaries, AVs, and digital films.
You will be responsible for shaping the creative vision, working with scriptwriters, directors, editors, and production teams to ensure the final output aligns with the communication objectives of government departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative development of scripts, concepts, and visual treatments for government and public sector films
- Translate policy, programs, and institutional messaging into engaging story formats
- Supervise direction, scripting, editing, and post-production teams
- Ensure content consistency, accuracy, and emotional resonance in every film
- Liaise with stakeholders, government departments, and internal teams to ensure clarity and alignment of messaging
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in film/advertising/content creation, with at least 3+ years in creative leadership roles
- Strong portfolio of government films, public awareness campaigns, or institutional storytelling
- Deep understanding of narrative building, regional sensitivities, and visual aesthetics
- Ability to work with tight timelines and multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience across formats: TVC, documentary, AV, explainer, and digital-first video
Preferred:
- Experience working with ministries, tourism boards, PSUs, or social sector campaigns
- Familiarity with DAVP formats, guidelines, and tones
- Comfortable working across languages and regions
