McGraw Hill is a global education innovation company offering solutions from textbooks to EdTech platforms. We are looking for a Fraud Prevention Associate who will be responsible for reviewing orders to identify potential fraudulent activity and will be based in our Noida office.

How are you creating an impact

This role involves using a variety of tools to validate and confirm customer identities, as well as physical and virtual addresses. You will also track fraud patterns and monitor the effectiveness of fraud prevention efforts to continuously strengthen our safeguards.

What will you be doing

  • Perform real-time reviews of system-flagged suspicious transactions to determine whether orders should be released or cancelled
  • Use multiple tools, methods, and technologies to assess fraud risk accurately and efficiently
  • Identify emerging fraud trends and proactively alert management and cybersecurity teams
  • Recommend and implement preventive actions such as blocking email addresses, disabling accounts, or applying additional safeguards
  • Research and validate new addresses added to existing accounts to ensure legitimacy
  • Review and verify new user registrations requesting access to the COAST ordering system
  • Track and document fraud attempts, losses, and prevented transactions for reporting and analysis
  • Ensure accurate accounting adjustments are submitted and communicated to relevant stakeholders
  • Handle fraud-related cases and chats when potential risks are identified by team members

Important Prerequisites!

  • The candidate should be comfortable as this role requires working 6:30 PM - 3:00 AM IST, with flexibility to adjust to 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM IST during U.S. daylight savings time
  • Ideal candidates will reside within 25 km of the office location in Noida. If suitable candidates are not found within this range, we may consider those within 40 km as an exception
  • Cab facility for both pick up and drop off will be provided

We are looking for someone with

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ year of experience reviewing high risk transactions from a fraud review queue Retail Card Not Present transactions
  • Familiarity with fraud controls such as AVS CVV IP device mismatch velocity checks and related indicators
  • Hands on experience with fraud platforms and tools such as Braintree Signifyd CyberSource PayPal Emailage and LexisNexis
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems tools and processes
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team to support shared goals
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent cases while meeting daily queue completion targets
