About the project:
The project funded by the Government focuses on developing and demonstrating drone and allied technologies. The project will address various applications through the utilization of advanced technologies and critical infrastructure. Strong industry connections and collaborations will be fostered to solve pertinent challenges and drive technological advancements. Additionally, comprehensive drone training and awareness programs will be provided to ensure proficiency and understanding among people.
Location:
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai
Qulification :
- PhD with relevant experience OR
- MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
- BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
Key Skiils Required:
- Experience in designing and developing First-Person View (FPV) based multi-copters / fixed-wing / VTOL hybrid UAVs.
- Proficiency with Flight Controller Configurators, like Betalight, Mission Planner, QGC, etc.
- Experience in Video Transmission systems, Antenna selection and Piloting.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, Catia V5, Fusion 360).
- Skills in 3D printing and Rapid prototyping, Experience in of Power tools operation.
- Expertise in selecting components and modifying UAVs based on tests, payloads, and sensor requirements.
- Understanding of flight physics, composite materials, aerodynamics, structures, FEM analysis for UAVs.
- Understanding of sensor communication framework used in UAVs.
Job Profile:
- Design and develop various types of FPV based UAVs, including multi-copters, fixed-wing, VTOL hybrid UAVs, focusing on high performance, agility, and reliability.
- Select and integrate components such as flight controllers, motors, ESCs, cameras, transmitters, communication systems, sensors, payloads, and other hardware for optimal FPV performance.
- Flight Controller Configurators, like Betalight, Mission Planner, QGC, etc.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements on prototypes to meet design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Field trails and demonstrations.
- Document design processes, test results, and provide technical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to deliver integrated drone systems.
- Any other work assigned as per requirement.
