About The Role

We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance database solutions, working closely with application teams to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and cursors.
  • Design and implement efficient database structures to support applications and reporting requirements.
  • Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and DBAs to understand business requirements and provide solutions.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Maintain data integrity, security, and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Document PL/SQL code, database objects, and design specifications.
  • Stay updated with new Oracle database features and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle database versions : 11g, 12c, 19c.
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with cursors, triggers, packages, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with database design, normalization, and relational modeling concepts.

Preferred / Good To Have

  • Oracle certifications : PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate or Professional.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
  • Experience with integration between PL/SQL and front-end applications.
  • Exposure to cloud-based Oracle databases (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle).
  • PL/SQL developers should have proficiency in PL/SQL programming concepts, such as : cursors, triggers, stored procedures, and packages.
  • They should also have experience with Oracle database management systems, such as Oracle 11g, 12c, or 19c. Certifications, such as Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate or Professional, are also desirable.

PL/SQL is a procedural language that incorporates SQL statements into its syntax. The Oracle Database server compiles PL/SQL program units and stores them inside the database.
