Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer with strong digital design fundamentals and hands-on experience across FPGA design, verification, and hardware validation. The role involves system-level design, high-speed interface integration, and end-to-end FPGA development for complex hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize FPGA-based digital logic using Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL
- Lead FPGA development activities including architecture definition, RTL implementation, and timing closure
- Perform functional verification, simulation, and on-board validation of FPGA designs
- Work on system-level integration and debug of FPGA-based solutions
- Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for FPGA-based systems and embedded processors
- Integrate and validate high-speed interfaces and industry-standard protocols
- Support FPGA synthesis, place & route, and constraint development
- Drive hardware bring-up and root-cause analysis using lab debug tools
- Develop automation and build scripts using TCL / Perl
- Collaborate with board, firmware, and system teams during integration and validation phases
Required Skills & Experience- 69 years of hands-on experience in FPGA design, verification, and hardware validation
- Strong background in digital logic design and RTL development
- Proficiency in Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL
- Experience with embedded firmware development using C/C++
- Hands-on experience with ARM-based embedded processors
- Working knowledge of high-speed and complex protocols, including:
- PCIe Gen4 / Gen5
- DDR
- 10G Ethernet
- USB 3.2
- JESD204C
- IEEE 1588 PTP
- MIPI, MACSEC
- Strong system-level design and debug experience
- Hands-on experience with high-speed memory interfaces such as QDR II+ and QDR IV
- Proficiency in hardware debug using logic analyzers, ChipScope, and oscilloscopes
- Experience with scripting and automation using TCL / Perl
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field
