About Us
DNA Growth is a leading professional services firm offering business planning and Virtual CFO solutions to startups and mid-sized enterprises across North America and the MENA region. We combine people, processes, and technology to help our clients scale efficiently and make better financial decisions.
About the Role
We are hiring a senior Financial Analyst / FP&A operator to serve software business and private equity houses. This is not a basic reporting role. The right person will combine strong analytical ability, business judgment, speed, and process orientation. They should be comfortable owning complex financial workstreams, working across multiple clients, and turning imperfect data into clear decision-useful insight.
Key Responsibilities
· Own FP&A-heavy work across multiple client accounts, including financial models, budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting.
· Build and improve financial models (from scratch), reporting packs, dashboards, and decision-support tools.
· Translate accounting outputs, operational data, and business context into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
· Identify inconsistencies, weak assumptions, broken logic, and process inefficiencies across client finance workflows.
· Work across spreadsheets, accounting data, CRM / operational data, and ad hoc analytical problems.
· Use AI and automation tools intelligently to improve speed, quality, and throughput.
· Contribute to more scalable finance and reporting processes over time.
Performance Expectations
· Deliver high-quality analytical work quickly and consistently.
· Produce models and reports that are accurate, structured, and easy to use.
· Surface the key business issues, not just the numbers.
· Operate with strong judgment and low need for handholding.
· Handle volume without sacrificing accuracy or clarity.
· Continuously improve how work gets done, not just complete assigned tasks.
Required skill & Experience
· Strong FP&A expertise, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, scenario modelling, KPI tracking, and management reporting
· Solid accounting fundamentals: accruals, deferred revenue, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and three-statement understanding
· Proven experience in FP&A roles within startups, VC/PE-backed companies, or consulting environments
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (mandatory)
Hands-on experience in data analysis, automation, and dashboarding (Power BI / similar tools preferred)
· Working knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, data extraction) preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment and manage multiple workstreams effectively
· Comfort working with ambiguous, messy, real-world data and business problems
· Familiarity with AI tools for workflow optimization, analysis, and automation
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely
· MBA in Finance / Accounting / Economics / Statistics or equivalent qualification (preferred)
