FP&A Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a proactive FP&A Senior Business Analyst to join a global FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) function. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, with an MBA in finance and 5-7 years of experience in the engineering industry. You will be responsible for monthly financial reporting, data analysis, and preparing key financial documents to support decision-making for senior management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budgets for the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and LRP (Long-Range Plan). You will coordinate with department heads to collect data, conduct a detailed analysis, and present it to the senior management team. You will also prepare and submit quarterly estimates and monthly sales and EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) forecasts.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly GLO (General Ledger Overview), P&L (Profit & Loss), and Balance Sheets. You will also submit data to the OS (Operating System) according to corporate guidelines.
• Data Analysis & MIS: Prepare various MIS (Management Information Systems) reports and conduct analyses to help senior management make decisions. This includes region-wise, country-wise, segment-wise, and model-wise sales and new business trends. You will also analyze expense trends and performance (Budget vs Actual vs PY).
• Capital Expenditure (Capex): Prepare and monitor monthly Capex spending against the approved amount.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with corporate FP&A for global activities and collaborate with various departments to collect and collate data.

Skills Required

• Education: An Engineering degree (preferably Mechanical) with an MBA in Finance.
• Experience: 5-7 years of working experience in the Engineering industry.
• Domain Knowledge: A good understanding of finance, business processes, and cost accounting.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyses.
• Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
