Founding ML Engineer/Scientist (Mid-level)
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Founding ML Engineer/Scientist at a mid-level position. The ideal candidate should possess a degree (bachelor's and/or master's) in mathematics, physics, or computer science, along with a proven track record in building systems from the ground up. This role requires a minimum of 34 years of experience in traditional supervised ML (regression, classification, clustering, collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, etc.), and deep learning (CNN, RNN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct thorough analysis and experimentation to improve model performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate ML models into production systems.
- Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, physics, or computer science.
- Proven track record in building systems from the ground up.
- 3-4 years of experience in traditional supervised ML and deep learning.
- Expertise in Python and machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Significant expertise and familiarity with feature engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong side project experience is preferred, or ex-founder of a startup.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Regression, classification, deep learning, and LLMs/generative modeling.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision (CV) is a plus.
