The Food Technologist will lead R&D initiatives in India with a strong focus on
seasonings and B2B product development for the snacks, QSR, and HORECA segments. The role involves developing innovative, customer-centric solutions and optimizing existing products through
hands-on application, processing expertise, and sensory evaluation (including non-vegetarian products).
Key Responsibilities
Seasonings & B2B Product Development
- Develop and apply seasoning solutions based on customer briefs for snacks, QSR, and protein processors
- Drive B2B product development, ensuring solutions are tailored to customer processes and end applications
- Localize global seasoning formulations to meet cost, taste, and market requirements
- Lead cost optimization, raw material rationalization, and process improvements
Sensory & Application Expertise
- Conduct sensory evaluation, including non-vegetarian products, to ensure product quality and consumer acceptance
- Translate sensory insights into product improvements and innovation opportunities
- Design application solutions aligned with customer infrastructure and processing capabilities
Customer & Technical Interface
- Work closely with customers to deliver end-to-end technical solutions and product applications
- Provide processing know-how and seasoning application expertise to support the Sales team
- Support product trials, commercialization, and optimization at customer sites
Market & Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of seasoning ingredients, snack applications, and protein-based products
- Knowledge of QSR, HORECA, and B2B food industry requirements
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and seasoning application techniques
- Awareness of market trends and consumer preferences in savory and non-veg segments
- Good understanding of FSSAI regulations
Project Execution & Collaboration
- Manage multiple R&D projects across new product development, innovation, and cost optimization
- Collaborate with Sales, Culinary, Marketing, and Supply Chain for seamless execution
- Ensure timely delivery of projects with strong focus on quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech / B.Sc. / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Food Technology
- 4–8 years of experience in seasonings / savory product development (B2B preferred)
- Comfortable with sensory tasting of non-vegetarian products
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional working skills
