Food Safety Supervisor
About The Opportunity
This role sits in the Food Safety Compliance sector supporting food processing and manufacturing clients across India. The team delivers hands-on implementation of food safety management systems, regulatory compliance, and on-site quality controls for high-volume production environments. We seek an experienced on-site supervisor to lead day-to-day food safety operations and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food safety and hygiene operations on-site: ensure GMP, GHP, and sanitation schedules are executed consistently.
- Implement and maintain HACCP-based Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) including CCP identification, monitoring and documentation.
- Plan, lead and close internal and external audits (ISO 22000 / FSSC / BRC as applicable); drive corrective actions and CAPA until verification.
- Coordinate microbiological sampling, allergen controls, traceability checks and supplier food-safety verifications.
- Deliver targeted training and coaching for production, QA and sanitation teams on food safety practices, GMP and incident response.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare compliance reports, and liaise with regulatory authorities and thirdparty auditors as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Certification or proven working knowledge of HACCP implementation
- Experience with ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 systems and documentation
- Hands-on GMP and GHP enforcement in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting internal and external food safety audits
- Practical knowledge of CCP monitoring and corrective action procedures
- Familiarity with microbiological sampling and basic lab result interpretation
