Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Modeling Principal Engineer with 8-16 years of experience to lead our flood modeling initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to mitigate flood risks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of flood modeling projects.
- Conduct data analysis and hydrological modeling to assess flood risks and impacts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design flood management solutions.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in flood modeling.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in flood modeling.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Proficient in flood modeling software such as HEC-RAS, MIKE FLOOD, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and flood risk assessment principles.
- Experience in GIS software for spatial analysis and data visualization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical information.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
