Plan, direct & co-ordinate the Store Material Quality Controls System, so as to facilitate SFD & Power Plants to optimize and achieve their production within targeted cost and quality parameter.
Plant is over 50 years old. Till 1991-92, competition was not so fierce as market was protected. New plants with superior technology came up & competitive products like cotton & Polyester became cheaper than VSF. VSF sales started getting adversely affected & now pose a major challenge for growth. Thus, there is a need to improve product range & satisfy the customers with product at competitive price consistently.
Major Challenges:
To accept the challenges of Vendors / suppliers while rejecting substandard materials. Guidance to user deptt. For cost reduction, spare parts developments, inventory reduction and standardisation. Rationalisation of technical specifications.
