Fixed Income Technology
Jefferies Fixed Income Technology team builds automation, analytics, and high-performance platforms that power global Fixed Income sales and trading across Rates, Credit, Municipals, EM, Derivatives, Loans, and Securitized Markets. The team focuses on resilient, mission critical systems and modern engineering—leveraging AI/ML, advanced analytics, cloud architecture, and digital engineering practices—to support the firm's growth and competitiveness in global FI markets.
Jefferies Pune Fixed Income Technology team plays a critical role within three globally integrated domains: Data & Reporting, Cloud Platform, Software Engineering.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with 10+ years of hands‑on experience in QlikSense and Power BI to join our Pune-based analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of designing, developing, and implementing end‑to‑end BI solutions, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to support data‑driven decision‑making. Additionally, the candidate will possess a strong background in data and business analysis, along with analytical and communications skills.
The candidate will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of BI reporting—from data modelling and dashboard creation to optimization and governance—ensuring high levels of quality and scalability across our analytics landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in QlikSense and Power BI.
- Build robust data models to support business reporting requirements.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into central BI platforms.
- Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and ease of use.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Establish and enforce data governance, security, and best practices in BI delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data, dashboard, or performance issues promptly.
- Document BI processes, technical specifications, and architectural diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Data Engineering, Analytics, and IT Infrastructure.
- Optimizing Dashboards/Reports and the underlying data models for good performance and scalability. Experience in tuning performance of DAX expressions.
Required Technical Experience And Skills
- Proven expertise in QlikSense (script development, set analysis, data load editor, extensions) and Power BI (DAX, Power Query, custom visuals).
- Email reports development using Qlik NPrinting.
- Paginated Reports development in Power BI and Email distribution of embedded reports.
- Experience implementing data level security using Section Access and RLS.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience integrating BI tools with varied data sources—databases, APIs, flat files, etc.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
- Good understanding of ETL processes and tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Experience of Finance domain, specifically Fixed Income, would be an added advantage.
- Experience utilizing the AI features of BI tools such as CoPilot, Qlik Insights Advisor etc.
