What You Will Do

  • Working as part of the Marine design team, On mechanical design aspects of marine fire suppression projects, ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications.
  • Draft detailed CAD drawings and data sheets for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
  • Develop a variety of drawings, including mechanical schematics, P&ID's, Equipment Datasheets, and Hydraulic Calculations.
  • Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team, offering valuable design and CAD support.

Essential

What we look for

  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (Fire CAD or equivalent).
  • Ability to interpret clients technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in Fire suppression systems on Buildings or Marine

Preferred

  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in the Marine Industry.
  • Previous involvement in MoD contracts.
  • Background in the Fire Protection industry. With experience in Sprinkler, Foam, Local Application Water mist and Gaseous (Novec, C02, Inergen) fire suppression systems.
