What You Will Do
- Working as part of the Marine design team, On mechanical design aspects of marine fire suppression projects, ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications.
- Draft detailed CAD drawings and data sheets for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
- Develop a variety of drawings, including mechanical schematics, P&ID's, Equipment Datasheets, and Hydraulic Calculations.
- Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team, offering valuable design and CAD support.
Essential
What we look for
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (Fire CAD or equivalent).
- Ability to interpret clients technical specifications.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in Fire suppression systems on Buildings or Marine
Preferred
- Bachelor's in mechanical engineering
- Experience in the Marine Industry.
- Previous involvement in MoD contracts.
- Background in the Fire Protection industry. With experience in Sprinkler, Foam, Local Application Water mist and Gaseous (Novec, C02, Inergen) fire suppression systems.
