Financial Trading Education & Assessment Specialist (Remote)

Samuel and Co Trading is expanding our education team and seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Student Assessor & Support Specialist to join us remotely. You will play a vital role in supporting learners across our Level 5 and Level 7 programmes, ensuring they receive high-quality assessment, guidance, and academic support throughout their studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and mark student assignments in line with Level 5 and Level 7 academic standards.
- Provide clear, constructive, and supportive written feedback on student submissions.
- Offer ongoing academic support, proactively checking in with students to monitor progress and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student marks, progress, feedback, and interactions.
- Ensure all assessments and feedback align with course outcomes and academic requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the wider education team to enhance the overall student learning experience.
- Manage workload efficiently to ensure timely turnaround for marking and student communication.
- Issue CPD certificates to eligible students.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's degree in one of the following (or closely related fields):
- Economics
- Financial Trading
- Finance
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured, and supportive academic feedback.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to academic quality.
- MUST understand US/UK macro/Micro economics such as QE
- MUST understand derivatives/options/futures/equities/commodities market
Desirable / Advantageous
- PhD or advanced academic qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Practical trading experience.
- Previous experience in:
- Assessing or marking academic work
- Providing academic support or tutoring
- Working with professional or higher-education programmes at Level 5 and/or Level 7
