The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in delivering highquality financial insights, interpreting financial statements, and ensuring compliance with global accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical expertise, deep understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, EURO GAAP, and IAS, along with proven experience in team management. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, proactive, and proficient in advanced Excel tools that support decision-making and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including trend analysis, variance analysis, and ratio interpretation.
- Review, interpret, and analyse financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate application of international accounting standards including IFRS, US GAAP, EURO GAAP, and IAS in reporting and analysis.
- Prepare highquality analytical reports and dashboards for management.
- Lead and mentor a small team (23 members); oversee work quality and provide guidance on complex financial matters.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with finance, accounting, and business units to provide insights and resolve queries.
- Utilize advanced Excel (pivot tables, power query, macros, complex formulas, data modelling) to automate and enhance reporting processes.
- Participate in process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and analytical capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (master's or professional qualification like CA/CPA/CIMA preferred).
- 56 years of experience in financial analysis or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, EURO GAAP, and IAS.
- Ability to interpret financial ratios and convert analysis into actionable insights.
- 23 years of experience in team leadership or mentoring.
- Excellent command of advanced Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation tools.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
