Job Description
Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) Specialist. New FPA position within a small elite
finance team consisting of CFO, Accounting Specialist, and FPA Specialist. Career growth
opportunity in a fast paced Software as a Service (SaaS) environment. FPA Specialist will lead
financial modelling and analysis while also contributing to accounting processes as needed.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Accounting on month-end close and financial accuracy.
- Own and maintain the company's 3-statement financial model (P&L, cash flow,
balance sheet)
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting processes (revenue, bookings, ARR,
headcount, expenses, cash runway)
- Develop scenario models (base, upside, downside) to support strategic
decision-making
- Build SaaS-specific forecasting models including annual recurring revenue, net
revenue retention, gross margins, etc.
- Ensure data integrity across CRM, billing, and financial systems
- Prepare monthly leadership and investor reporting packages
- Develop financial dashboards with actionable insights
- Provide variance analysis (budget vs actuals, forecast vs actuals) with clear drivers
- Identify cost optimization and margin improvement opportunities
- Work with Sales & Marketing on pipeline analytics
- Improve financial systems, automation, and reporting workflows
- Create scalable processes to support growth
Requirements
- 2+ years professional experience running a three statement financial model
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills (must be able to build complex
models from scratch)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong SaaS fluency
- Comfort working directly with a United States based CFO
Preferred Experience
- Systems familiarity: NetSuite, JIRA, Celigo, Ramp
- AI tools to expand FPA toolkit
