Markets Planning & Analysis Team, supporting financial planning, forecasting and analytics to drive Markets business performance.
As an Associate in Markets Planning & Analysis, you support financial planning, forecasting and analytics to promote Markets business performance. The role partners closely with Markets leadership, Finance and other stakeholders to deliver highquality financial planning, forecasting and management reporting, and to provide insightful analysis that supports strategic and daytoday decisions. At the 602 level, the role requires a complete understanding of the relevant financial and business domain, acting as a subject matter expert on complex topics, coordinating across teams.
Job responsibilities
- Support the endtoend planning and forecasting process for the Markets business (e.g., revenues, expenses, headcount and key performance metrics), ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with firm standards.
- Prepare and enhance monthly and quarterly management reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and key business drivers, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities for Markets leadership.
- Perform deepdive analysis on business performance (e.g., product, client, region, desk) to explain variances versus plan/prior periods and to support strategic initiatives and senior management requests.
- Partner with Markets business, Finance & Business Management and other functions to align assumptions, validate drivers and support decisionmaking on investments, resource allocation and cost discipline.
- Contribute to process and reporting enhancements (including standardization and automation) to improve data quality, efficiency and productivity in Planning & Analysis activities
- Support governance, control and documentation standards across planning and reporting processes, in line with firm policies and expectations on risk, controls and conduct
- Collaborate effectively across global and crossfunctional teams, fostering a transparent and inclusive environment that supports growth and development, consistent with firm performance expectations
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, planning and reporting (e.g., in Markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related analytical finance role).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify key drivers and communicate clear, concise insights to stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage own workload, plan and organize deliverables in a deadlinedriven environment, consistent with expectations that 602 roles plan and organize their work and support team goals
- Solid understanding of financial statements and key business performance metrics, with comfort working with large data sets and multiple systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex analysis for senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with analytics or reporting tools is a plus.
