Job Title: Finance Director
Location: Bangalore
Role Overview:
The Finance Director will provide strategic financial leadership for the company, ensuring strong fiscal governance, sustainable growth, and long-term value creation. This role owns financial strategy, enterprise financial planning, investor/board reporting, compliance, and risk management. The Finance Director will collaborate closely with the executive team to influence business decisions, drive profitability, and strengthen the financial maturity of the organization, particularly in a growing IT services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Define and drive the company's financial strategy aligned with long-term business goals.
- Advise the executive team on capital allocation, pricing, investments, and market expansion.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and board communications where applicable.
- Lead strategic initiatives to enhance revenue growth, margin expansion, and financial sustainability.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Own the corporate budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-range planning (LRP).
- Provide scenario modeling, business case evaluations, and sensitivity analysis.
- Present monthly/quarterly financial performance to the leadership team and board.
3. Financial Reporting & Governance
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.
- Strengthen financial policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee enterprise financial audits (internal & external) and drive closure of audit findings.
4. Taxation, Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, corporate tax, and other statutory regulations in India.
- Oversee corporate risk management including financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Lead discussions with regulatory bodies, auditors, consultants, and banking partners.
5. Commercial & Revenue Management
- Oversee revenue recognition practices and ensure alignment with Indian GAAP/Ind AS.
- Support commercial teams on pricing models, customer contracts, and deal profitability.
- Monitor revenue mix, margins, utilization, and other IT services financial KPIs.
6. Cost Optimization & Capital Allocation
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals including IT infrastructure, cloud investments, etc.
- Drive cost optimization across delivery, cloud, tools, and back-office functions.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
7. Financial Systems & Automation
- Oversee financial systems roadmap and integration with IT service management tools.
- Champion automation and digitization of financial processes for scalability.
- Ensure data integrity, system accuracy, and actionable financial insights.
8. Leadership & Team Development
- Build and lead a high-performing finance organization.
- Mentor finance leaders across controllership, FP&A, tax, and treasury.
- Promote strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Delivery, Operations, HR, and IT.
Qualifications & Experience:
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 1015+ years of progressive finance experience including leadership roles.
- Strong exposure to IT services, technology, or global delivery models preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), tax laws, and financial compliance.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and board reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
