About the Role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial control framework including Accounts Receivable, Billing, Financial Reporting, and Taxation.

The role ensures accuracy and integrity of financial records, timely billing and collections, compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and delivery of reliable financial information to support strategic decision-making. The incumbent will play a critical role in strengthening financial governance, improving financial processes, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Receivable & Billing

• Oversee end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable to ensure timely collections and minimize outstanding receivables.
• Develop mechanisms to track revenue streams and customer billing cycles.
• Coordinate with business teams for accurate revenue capture and billing dispute resolution.

2. Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review periodic financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure accuracy of financial records in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis and insights to management.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring availability and accuracy of financial information.

3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable direct and indirect tax regulations including GST, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with tax advisors and regulatory bodies for timely filings and assessments.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure their impact is appropriately reflected in financial processes.

4. Financial Controls & Governance

• Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation in financial processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit recommendations.

5. Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with internal departments to ensure financial discipline and compliance.
• Support senior leadership with financial insights for decision-making.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10 to 15 years of experience in Finance and Accounts.
• Strong exposure to Financial Reporting, Receivables Management, Billing Operations, and Taxation.
• Experience in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Banking, or regulated institutions will be preferred.
• Prior experience in handling audits, regulatory compliance, and financial control frameworks.

Other Requirements

• Experience working in regulated environments will be an added advantage.
