Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance & Regulatory Mastery
- Own and manage all statutory compliances, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/PT, and RoC filings.
- Ensure 100% compliance with local, state, and central regulations, mitigating any financial or legal risks.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries to ensure smooth and timely statutory audits and due diligence processes.
2. Financial Operations & Reporting
- Manage day-to-day financial operations: accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and cash flow management.
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls, accounting policies, and financial SOPs.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for the founders and investors.
3. Strategic Finance (The CFO Track)
- Partner with the founders to build financial models, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts.
- Track and analyze key startup metrics (Burn Rate, Runway, CAC, LTV, Unit Economics) to guide strategic business decisions.
- Play a key role in future fundraising rounds by preparing financial data rooms, investor pitch metrics, and handling financial due diligence.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 3 to 4 years of core finance and accounting experience, specifically within a startup, tech company, or a fast-scaling business environment.
- Compliance Expert: Deep, hands-on understanding of Indian taxation, corporate law, and startup-specific regulatory frameworks.
- Operator & Thinker: You are perfectly comfortable getting into the weeds of a balance sheet today, while possessing the strategic acumen to forecast our 3-year growth plan tomorrow.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with modern accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills.
- Communication: Strong ability to translate complex financial jargon into clear, actionable business insights for non-finance founders.
