We are a manufacturing and exporting Company of repute having turnover of Rs. 100 Crs. + situated in Khandwa Road, Indore. We are seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to serve as a Financial Business Analyst, responsible for preparing insightful MIS reports, performing cost and financial analysis, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability improvements. The ideal candidate will apply their costing expertise and analytical skills to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
MIS Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare, consolidate, and publish regular MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly) capturing key financial, operational, and cost-related metrics.
- Design and automate dashboards to track performance KPIs such as cost per unit, contribution margin, cost variances, and overhead absorption.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Financial Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct trend analysis, profitability analysis, and cost analysis to identify deviations and variances from targets or budgets.
- Analyse direct and indirect costs, fixed vs variable costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Business Performance Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies, wastages, and leakages in processes, pricing, and resource utilization.
- Provide actionable insights and recommend strategies to optimize cost structures, improve margins, and enhance profitability.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cost projections.
- Support business units with financial planning aligned to operational goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with department heads (Finance, Production, Procurement, Sales) to understand business challenges and provide analytical support.
- Present findings, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management in a clear and impactful manner.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Cost Accountant (CMA/ICWA) with 25 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on costing, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Deep understanding of manufacturing/service costing, inventory valuation, and cost control principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
