We're looking for a Financial Analyst who brings strong analytical thinking, financial discipline, and business acumen to support strategic decision-making across Vedantu's fast-evolving online and offline businesses.
This role plays a critical part in enhancing financial visibility, driving planning and forecasting, and enabling data-backed performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
1. MIS & Dashboarding
- Build and automate detailed MIS reports to track key financial and operational KPIs
- Develop interactive dashboards using Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or Tableau to enable real-time decision-making
2. P&L Management & Variance Analysis
- Perform in-depth variance analysis (Actuals vs Budget/Forecast)
- Derive actionable insights from monthly P&L reviews, identifying profitability drivers and cost trends
3. Month-End Closures
- Support monthly financial close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
4. Financial Planning & Decision Support
- Partner with business teams to build budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
- Develop financial models to support cost optimization, revenue growth, and new initiatives
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to vertical heads, operations, and product teams
- Drive alignment on key metrics, forecasts, and financial decisions across departments
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (CA Inter / MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, or Management Reporting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L management, and month-end close processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
