Finance Specialist

Flexing It is a freelance consulting marketplace that connects freelancers and independent consultants with organisations seeking independent talent.

This is an independent consulting role with Our client, a global NGO, is looking to engage a finance consultant to establish an India-based payment architecture while eliminating dependence on U.S.-issued corporate cards.

Key responsibilities

1. Payment Architecture
2. Design an India-based payment operating model for SaaS, technology and online-service vendors.
3. Reduce/eliminate dependence on U.S.-issued corporate cards.
4. Evaluate corporate cards, virtual cards and expense-management platforms.

1. Finance Operations & Process Design
2. Design end-to-end purchasing, payment, invoice, accounting, reconciliation and reporting workflows.
3. Develop finance SOPs, purchasing policies and approval matrices.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

1. Advise on GST, RCM, ITC, TDS/withholding tax and tax treaties.
2. Ensure FEMA/RBI, foreign-currency accounting and Form 15CA/15CB compliance.

Implementation & Transformation

1. Evaluate/configure payment and expense platforms.
2. Migrate subscriptions from U.S. corporate cards.
3. Test international payments and reimbursement workflows.
4. Support finance and employee training.

Vendor & Payment Governance

1. Identify Indian vendors, resellers and intermediaries.
2. Establish controls for critical-vendor payment continuity.
3. Develop migration and implementation roadmaps.

NOTE:
