Job Title: Finance & Operations Manager
Location:* Bengaluru (On-site)
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and hands-on Finance & Operations Manager to own the finance function and operations of the business. This mid-level role requires expertise in financial management, accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks), and operational process improvements. The candidate will also be a trusted financial advisor to the leadership team, guiding budgeting, cash flow, invoicing, and strategic financial planning. This role offers significant growth potential towards a CFO leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Management
- Oversee full financial management including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and invoicing processes.
- Manage end-to-end invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting with proficiency in Zoho Books and QuickBooks.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and MIS for management.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, payroll, and coordinate with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
Operations Management
- Own daily business operations including vendor management, procurement, and workflow/process optimization.
- Implement operational efficiencies and best practice frameworks across finance and administrative processes.
- Manage contracts, vendor relationships, and internal controls to safeguard company assets
Strategic Financial Advisory
- Act as a key advisor to the leadership team on financial strategy, budgeting, cash flow management, and cost optimization.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Support fundraising activities by preparing financial data, projections, and investor reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align finance and operational goals with overall company objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- CA, MBA Finance, or equivalent with 47 years in finance and operations roles.
- Proficiency with Zoho Books and QuickBooks for accounting and invoicing.
- Deep understanding of profit & loss, balance sheets, budgeting processes, invoicing, and statutory compliance in India.
- Experience advising leadership on financial planning, cash flow management, and budget controls.
- Operational experience in vendor and contract management, process improvement within startups or SMEs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High ownership, adaptability, and motivation to grow into a CFO role.
