Role Overview
We are looking for a Finance Officer who can help build and manage the financial backbone of Kefilo.
This role involves financial planning, budgeting, operational finance management, pricing analysis, unit economics, reporting systems, and strategic financial decision-making.
You will work directly with the founder and operational teams to ensure financial discipline, scalability, and sustainable growth across different verticals of the business.
This role is ideal for someone interested in startup finance, food-tech business models, operational economics, and building systems from scratch.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
- Build and maintain financial models and projections
- Track operational expenses, revenues, and cash flow
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for pilots and expansion
- Analyze unit economics for meals, subscriptions, events, and kiosks
- Support pricing strategies and cost optimization initiatives
Business & Operational Finance
- Create systems for expense tracking and financial reporting
- Coordinate with operations and procurement teams for cost management
- Assist in vendor payment planning and inventory cost analysis
- Monitor profitability across different business activities
- Support financial decision-making for scaling operations
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare financial reports, trackers, and dashboards
- Maintain records related to invoices, operational costs, and transactions
- Support basic compliance and financial documentation processes
- Help build SOPs for financial workflows and approvals
Strategic Contribution
- Participate in discussions around fundraising readiness and scalability
- Contribute ideas for sustainable and scalable business models
- Support future expansion planning and operational structuring
- Work closely with leadership on financial strategy and growth planning

- Good understanding of budgeting, Excel, and financial tracking
- Attention to detail and organizational ability
- Comfortable handling ambiguity and iterative processes
Preferred Background
- Finance / Accounting / Commerce / MBA / Economics background preferred
- Freshers with strong analytical ability can also apply
- Prior startup, finance, operations, or consulting experience is a bonus
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, Tally, Zoho, or financial tools is a plus
