About the Role
The organization is looking for an experienced Senior Auditor with a strong background in Big-4 / Big-6 audit firms and extensive exposure to the BFSI sector, specifically auditing investment management companies. The ideal candidate will have deep accounting expertise, strong reporting skills, and the ability to handle small teams while maintaining a positive and structured work orientation.
This role carries significant strategic importance, directlyimpacting the company's long-term positioning in the real estate and broader investment markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute audits for investment management and financial services clients (BFSI).
- Review and ensure accuracy of core investment accounting, financial reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Oversee and guide a small team (23 members), ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to audit standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packs, and FP&A deliverables for front-office stakeholders.
- Assess internal controls, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, reporting, and operations teams to ensure smooth audit cycles.
- Utilize SAP/technology/automation tools (preferred) to streamline workflows and improve audit efficiency.
- Maintain a stable job progression, demonstrating consistency and reliability throughout professional experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
- Post-qualification experience of 8+ years (Chartered Accountant).
- Big 4 / Big 6 audit firm experience with specialization in BFSI auditing (investments companies preferred).
- Strong background in core investment accounting/finance.
- Experience in handling a team of 23 members.
- Strong knowledge of Reporting / FP&A for front-office functions.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and audit execution skills.
Preferred
- Experience with SAP, technology-enabled audits, or automation tools.
- Stable employment history with consistent growth.
