Job Position: Finance Manager India (FMCG Sector)

Role Overview:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company in India, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, overseeing taxation, and supporting business growth in the FMCG sector. This role requires strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, labour compliances, financial reporting, and internal controls. The individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, timely filings, and efficient financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Statutory & Tax Compliance.
- Ensure timely GST compliance including return preparation, reconciliation, filing, and responding to notices.
- Manage TDS compliance including deduction, deposit, filing of quarterly returns, and issuing Form 16/16A.
- Oversee Direct & Indirect Taxation including corporate tax and advance tax planning.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws including Provident Fund (PF), Employees State Insurance (ESIC), Gratuity, and other employee-related statutory filings.
Accounting & Financial Reporting.
- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP / Ind-AS.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Ensure timely closing of books of accounts and support statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Audit & Internal Controls.
- Assist in audit planning, execution, and closure with statutory auditors.
- Maintain robust internal controls and adherence to company policies.
Regulatory Filings & Secretarial Support.
- Handle ROC compliances in coordination with the company secretary.
- File monthly, quarterly, and annual returns with government authorities.
- Maintain proper documentation for assessments and inspections.
Business Finance & Strategy.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support the business in cost optimization and working capital management.
- Provide financial insights for decision-making in pricing, distribution, and new product launches.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and government departments.
Required Qualifications & Skills.
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / CA Inter / MBA (Finance)
- Experience: 4-5 years in finance & accounts with at least 2-3 years in FMCG/Manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and labour laws in India.
- Proven experience in finalization of accounts and statutory audits.
- Expertise in ERP system Odoo is an added advantage and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
