Reporting to the Senior Finance manager -Controllership (Operations & Corporate Functions), this role is responsible for Financial controllership (both operational and technical) of Corporate Functions.
Corporate Functions comprises of Legal, Finance, People, Risk, Internal Audit, Company Secretarial and Corporate Affairs & Marketing functions, ensuring compliance and enhancing data accuracy, policies and procedures
Financial Control, including Finance Operations, is the backbone of Finance and its outputs provide the basis for the work of other Finance functions. They're accountable for the global process from recording financial transactions to external reporting.
This team;
- Maintains full cross-Group alignment on financial controls, policies, systems, with responsibility for financial accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Is responsible for all external financial reporting which includes half year and full year financial statements, leading on technical accounting, consolidating financial information and reporting to the Audit Committee
- Provides assurances of accuracy and integrity of LSEG accounts to management, the wider business, and to our investors
- Through Finance Operations, are responsible for accounts payable/receivable, billing and credit control. They also manage and track integration costs & benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Corporate Functions finance business partnering leads and business stakeholders in supporting the delivery of operations strategy set by LSEG's Chief Operating Officer.
- Reports financial performance of operations division and related entities and supports divisional cost control and management of financial performance through budgets, forecasts and KPIs.
- Accounting due diligence for significant contracts and transactions in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Coordination, control and reporting of the divisional monthly close and annual legal entity reporting in full compliance with internal and external reporting standards, policies and internal controls.
- Supporting Corporate Functions allocations model with the Transfer Pricing team.
- Evaluates and evolves systems, policies, and processes and drives standardisation, automation and process improvements to increase efficiency
- Facilitates internal and external financial audits.
- Management of 1 accountant.
