Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: 100% Remote
Engagement Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor
Compensation: ₹100,000 - ₹125,000 per month
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to take ownership of core financial operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Credit Control, Payroll, Spend & Cost Management, and Management Reporting.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to drive financial discipline across the business in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and supplier payments
- Maintain strong credit control procedures to optimise cash flow and reduce aged debt.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Liaise with external payroll providers where applicable
- Monitor company expenditure and implement cost control measures
- Analyse spend trends and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Support budget setting and track performance against financial targets
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Deliver insightful financial reporting to senior leadership
- Provide variance analysis and actionable recommendations
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital
- Support and manage invoice discounting / factoring arrangements
- Maintain and optimise financial systems, particularly QuickBooks
- Drive process improvements and automation, leveraging advanced Excel tools
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong practical experience using QuickBooks
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling)
- Proven experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and management reporting
- Strong understanding of credit control and cash flow management
- Fluent business-level English (written and spoken)
- Experience working in a remote / distributed environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence decision-making
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
Desirable
- Experience working within a recruitment agency or staffing business
- Knowledge of invoice discounting / factoring
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
