Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager/ Manager/Senior Manager for Credit Control, Insurance/Reinsurance
Role Purpose:
To manage core credit control operations including cash application, reconciliations, broker and commission accounting, debt monitoring, and payment processing. The role ensures timely cash inflow, accurate financial records, and effective management of broker and customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Receivable & Reconciliations
.Perform accounts and debt reconciliations including ageing reports, open item reports, and unallocated cash (UNCASH) analysis.
.Prepare and review aging, debtor, and open-item reports.
.Reconcile broker, direct, and agent accounts and ledgers.
.Maintain policy, account, REG, and bank master data.
.Investigate and resolve unreconciled transactions, discrepancies, and allocation issues.
2. Cash Application & Payment Processing
.Allocate incoming cash receipts from bank statements, EDI, RPA, agent collections, and direct deposits.
.Process direct debit runs and handle receipt postings and exceptions.
.Maintain cash allocation templates and support automated allocation activities.
.Process outgoing payments, refunds, and carrier settlements in line with approval controls.
.Submit remittance advice and payment requests for processing.
3. Commission & Broker Account Management
.Manage outgoing broker and agent commission payments.
.Validate commission files and prepare commission statements.
.Produce and distribute broker statements.
.Support broker account changes and ledger maintenance.
.Ensure broker balances are regularly reviewed and reconciled.
4. Debt Management & Delinquency Control
.Monitor overdue balances and outstanding debt across broker, agent, and direct business.
.Execute dunning processes for agent collections and direct debit rejections.
.Issue overdue, cancellation, and delinquency letters through approved channels.
.Support monthly cancellation and overdue chasing activities.
.Liaise with brokers and internal teams to resolve aged debt and payment disputes.
Qualifications and Experience:
.Strong knowledge of Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliations
.Experience in cash allocation, broker accounting, and commissions processing
.Strong knowledge of P&C re/insurance concepts, and procedures.
.High attention to detail and analytical capability
.Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
.Ability to manage high-volume transactional work with accuracy
.Any graduate except technical (B. Com / B.Sc. / B.A) - Preferences for Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent
.3-6+ years of experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable (Insurance or Financial Services preferred)
