This position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the forecasting efforts of Re-commerce P&L; quantifying initiatives and establishing linkage with Sellable yield;
  • To evaluate and communicate accounts receivable controllership risks with the leadership and assessing the adequacy of existing controls and implementing new controls as needed.
  • Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances
  • Lead analytical projects that assist and influence the business
  • Uphold and enforce an environment of ethical practices and good financial controllership
  • To evaluate and communicate accounts receivable controllership risks with the leadership and assessing the adequacy of existing controls and implementing new controls as needed

About The Team

Finance Manager - SPS will be a key business partner with the Re-commerce team within the India Seller Partner Services team to assist in maximizing the salable yield for good received through return & rejects. The position is responsible for financial planning and analysis for this business. In this role, you will be responsible for all financial controllership, metrics and overall financial analysis. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity; detail oriented and has the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including categories, sales, product development and software development.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
