Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Finance Manager located in Bengaluru. The Finance Manager will manage end to end accounting, strict cost control, financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with regulations. The Finance Manager will work closely with internal teams to optimize operations, analyze financial performance, ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, and contribute to strategic decision-making through financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

CA (preferred) or strong CMA

4–7 years experience

Worked in:

• D2C brands with manufacturing
• Furniture / consumer goods / retail manufacturing
• Or companies like:
• Pepperfry, Wakefit, Urban Ladder
• Mid-sized manufacturing exporters
• Consumer brands with in-house production

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial

statements

• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards Ind AS

• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes

• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis

2. Manufacturing Finance (Critical)

• Monitor cost of production, BOM variance, consumption and inventory valuation

• Track plant-level performance (yield, wastage, overhead absorption)

• Partner with operations team to improve cost efficiency

3. Trading Business Finance

• Manage margin analysis, pricing controls, and discount structures

• Monitor inventory turnover and working capital cycles

• Ensure profitability tracking across SKUs and channels

4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

• Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory levels

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and ensure liquidity management

• Work closely with sales and procurement teams on credit policies

5. Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with GST, income tax, and other statutory regulations

• Manage audits (internal, statutory, tax audits)

• Strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs

6. Team Management

• Lead and mentor finance and accounts team of 8-10

• Ensure process discipline and continuous improvement

• Coordinate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and supply chain

7. MIS & Business Support

• Develop dashboards for management reporting

• Provide actionable insights to leadership for decision-making

• Support strategic initiatives such as expansion, pricing, and cost restructuring

• Prepare MIS for Management and investors in strict timelines

Strong understanding of:

• Costing and inventory accounting

• Working capital cycles

• GST and regulatory compliance

Proficiency in ERP systems (ERP Next/ Odoo/SAP / Oracle / Tally or similar)

Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
