Job Description

Finance Manager

Flexiple

Location: Bangalore (Preferred)

About Company

Flexiple is a managed marketplace helping global companies build offshore teams and GCCs in India. We support hiring across Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and HR functions through both contractor and full-time talent solutions.

Bootstrapped, profitable, and growing rapidly, Flexiple is on a mission to reach $10M in revenue by 2027. As the business scales across India and the US, we are looking for a Finance Manager to build the financial systems, controls, and planning infrastructure that will support the next stage of growth.

Role Overview

This is not a traditional accounting role.

As Flexiple's first dedicated Finance Manager, you will own the entire finance function and lead a team of Finance Associates while partnering directly with the COO. You will build processes, establish controls, drive planning, improve visibility into company performance, and serve as a key decision-support partner to leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial operations expertise with a builder mindset and enjoys creating scalable systems in a fast-growing business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Controls & Governance

  • Establish and manage maker-checker controls across invoicing, payroll, vendor payments, contractor payouts, reimbursements, and financial approvals.
  • Design and implement finance policies, SOPs, approval workflows, and operational controls.
  • Build robust financial governance frameworks that improve accuracy, transparency, and accountability.
  • Drive monthly reconciliation processes across India and US banking operations.

Financial Operations & Book Closure

  • Oversee month-end and periodic book closure processes across India and US entities.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax consultants, and compliance partners.
  • Review financial records, reconciliations, and reporting outputs for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and structured financial reporting for leadership stakeholders.

Revenue Operations & Invoicing

  • Own oversight of customer invoicing, billing accuracy, rate adjustments, contractor billing, and revenue tracking.
  • Build scalable invoicing processes for global customers, contractors, and partner-led payment channels.
  • Manage payment reconciliations across platforms including Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, and banking systems.
  • Support collections tracking, receivables management, and revenue visibility.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Build project-level profitability and margin-tracking frameworks.
  • Develop revenue forecasts, scenario-planning models, and rolling financial plans.
  • Support budgeting, variance analysis, and business-performance monitoring across functions.
  • Deliver actionable insights on margins, spending patterns, operational efficiency, and growth opportunities.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Develop cash-flow forecasting and working-capital planning processes.
  • Monitor receivables, payables, and liquidity requirements.
  • Build reporting mechanisms that provide clear visibility into financial health and future obligations.
  • Support leadership decision-making through data-driven financial analysis.

Compliance & Stakeholder Management

  • Review TDS, GST, and compliance filings prepared by external partners.
  • Support FEMA compliance, contractor-payment compliance, and cross-border finance processes.
  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax advisors, compliance partners, and finance service providers.
  • Maintain transfer-pricing documentation and support cross-border financial governance.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor Finance Associates while building scalable team processes.
  • Define priorities, review work quality, and establish operational excellence standards.
  • Create documentation, workflows, and repeatable processes that improve team efficiency.
  • Build a high-accountability finance function capable of supporting rapid company growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 4–7 years of experience in finance, financial operations, FP&A, controllership, or finance business partnering roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a startup, marketplace, services business, or high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of TDS, GST, FEMA basics, compliance processes, and financial controls.
  • Experience building or significantly improving finance processes rather than simply operating existing systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with Excel, Google Sheets, financial modeling, and reporting.
  • Comfortable managing people and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with Zoho Books, Tally, or similar accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in services, staffing, consulting, marketplace, or contractor-led business models.
  • Exposure to US entities, cross-border payments, remittances, and global finance operations.
  • Experience building project profitability or margin-tracking systems.
  • CA Inter, Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA Finance, or equivalent finance qualifications.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing, payment-partner reconciliation, and multi-entity finance operations.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

What Success Looks Like

  • Establish reliable reporting across payroll, invoicing, and financial operations.
  • Build strong relationships with finance partners and auditors.

First 120 Days

  • Deliver monthly P&L reporting and project-margin visibility.

  • Build company-wide budgeting and spend-monitoring capabilities.

What We Offer

  • Direct partnership with company leadership and meaningful influence on business decisions.
  • Exposure to complex services-business finance involving global customers, contractors, and cross-border operations.
  • High-impact role where strong financial systems directly improve business performance and scalability.
  • Fast-paced, ownership-driven environment focused on long-term, sustainable growth.
