Job Description

Finance Lead

Own the numbers. Shape the future of mobility finance.

Why Moving Tech

Moving Tech (Namma Yatri) is reimagining urban transport from the ground up — built on the open Beckn Protocol and integrated with India's ONDC network. We operate with a zero commission model for drivers and give communities, cooperatives, and governments the power to run their own mobility platforms.

The result 15 Cr+ rides, 8 lakh+ drivers, 2 Cr+ users, 25+ cities — and growing fast. Backed by Blume Ventures, Antler, and Google, our apps (Namma Yatri, Yatri Sathi, Kerala Savaari, Chennai One, Bharat Taxi, and more) are driving real impact for real people.

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, ownership-driven finance professional to join our team as a Finance Lead. You'll be embedded at the heart of our financial operations — from ensuring airtight compliance to building systems that scale as fast as we do.

This isn't a back-office role. You'll collaborate directly with leadership, influence financial strategy, and leave a visible mark on how one of India's most exciting mobility platforms manages its finances.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end financial reporting — Balance Sheet, P&L, cash flow statements, and MIS reports that leadership can rely on.
  • Lead monthly and annual financial closing activities with precision and speed.
  • Keep the company airtight on compliance — GST, TDS, Income Tax, audits, and all statutory requirements.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the company's statutory audit — ensuring filings, registrations, and regulatory obligations are always current and accurate.
  • Supervise vendor payments, reconciliations, and financial controls to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis that directly inform strategic decisions.
  • Be the go-to liaison for auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve finance processes, controls, and reporting systems — we value builders.
  • Champion automation and process efficiency using modern finance tools and platforms.
  • Work hand-in-hand with leadership on financial planning and business finance initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • CA with relevant hands-on experience.
  • 2–3 years of post-qualification experience (CA) or 4–5 years in finance and accounting --ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Solid grasp of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and Indian taxation.
  • Proficiency in Zoho, Excel, and modern finance/accounting tools.
  • A sharp analytical mind with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Startup or high-growth experience Even better — you already know how to thrive in ambiguity.

What's In It For You

  • High-impact work from day one. You'll be driving real business finance initiatives.
  • Build something that lasts. Opportunity to architect scalable finance systems and processes for a platform reaching millions.
  • Ownership & visibility. Fast-paced environment where your contributions are seen, valued, and rewarded.
  • Seat at the table. Collaborative culture with direct access to leadership and exposure to strategic decision-making.
  • Mission that matters. Help power a people-first mobility ecosystem across 25+ cities in India.
