Role Overview
Our client is a fast-scaling, AI-enabled platform in B2B space. They have raised 4mio USD funding recently from marquee investors. We are currently supporting them on their Head of Finance requirement.
This is a high-ownership, hands-on leadership role, working closely with the founders to build and scale the finance function end-to-end.
The role will drive financial discipline, predictability, and systems as the business scales rapidly, with direct exposure to founders, investors, and board-level decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end finance strategy including FP&A, long-term forecasting, cost structures, and profitability models.
- Build robust MIS and reporting frameworks with monthly, quarterly, and investor-ready dashboards.
- Own accounting, controllership, audits, compliance, and internal financial controls.
- Manage cash flow, working capital cycles, budgeting, and cost discipline across teams.
- Track vendor payments, site-level expenses, and project-wise P&Ls to ensure margin visibility.
- Support fundraising initiatives across debt and equity, including financial models, datarooms, and investor interactions.
- Work closely with product and tech teams to design scalable, automated finance systems integrated with operations.
- Build and lead a high-performance finance team; collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership.
Requirements
- CA / CFA / MBA (Finance), 7+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably in high-growth startups or project-driven businesses.
- Strong hands-on experience across FP&A, MIS, controllership, cash-flow management, and fundraising support.
- Ability to build systems and processes from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
