Job Description

The Financial Controller will lead the organization's controllership function, driving accuracy, compliance, and financial discipline across all accounting and reporting processes. This role will manage a high-performing finance team and closely partner with business, revenue operations, and FP&A to support strategic decision-making in a fastgrowing, digitalfirst environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end controllership, including accounting operations, monthly close, financial reporting, and statutory compliance
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in line with Indian GAAP and internal policies
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting governance, and audit preparedness
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
  • Partner with business, revenue operations, and FP&A to drive financial discipline and performance insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and decision-making processes
  • Implement scalable finance systems, automation, and process improvements suited for a fast-paced startup
  • Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensure timely compliance with tax, regulatory, and secretarial requirements

The Successful Applicant

You are a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 10-15 years of experience in accounting, controllership, and finance operations within fastpaced startup or internetfirst environments. You bring strong leadership skills, hands-on execution capability, and the ability to partner crossfunctionally with business, revenue operations, and FP&A to drive financial discipline and scalable processes.You Should Have:

  • CA qualification with 10-15 years of postqualification experience
  • Strong background in startups, digital-first companies, or highgrowth environments
  • Expertise in accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and compliance
  • Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
  • Strong business partnering mindset with comfort working closely with revenue ops and FP&A
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-ownership setup
  • Strong understanding of finance systems, ERPs, and automation-friendly processes
