JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

As the Finance Controller for Channel Business of EPD India, you will act as a key business partner supporting strategic growth across Institution, Corporate Hospitals, Pharma Chains, and E-commerce channels. This role is pivotal in carving out a separate P&L for channel business, driving pricing strategies including marginal costing models, and enabling scale-up initiatives. Additionally, you will support pricing and projects on a regular basis, ensuring financial compliance and operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Channel Business Finance Support: Partner with commercial teams to drive financial planning and analysis for Institution, Corporate Hospitals, Pharma Chains, and E-commerce.

  • Carving out a separate P&L: Develop and maintain a separate P&L for channel business, ensuring accurate reporting and profitability analysis.

  • Pricing & Costing: Lead pricing initiatives, build marginal costing models, and provide insights for strategic pricing decisions to enable tender participation

  • Scaling Initiatives: Support business scale-up through financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Automisation: Work on automising MIS and pricing approvals to remove manual interventions and also create central repository of approvals and records

  • Cash Flow & Working Capital: Forecast and monitor cash flow for channel business, optimize working capital, and implement corrective actions.

  • Project Management: Drive key projects related to pricing, compliance, and operational improvements ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accuracy in monthly closing, reporting, and variance analysis for channel business.

  • Compliance & Governance: Maintain adherence to internal controls, various regulatory guidelines such as NPPA

  • RLBE & Planning: Contribute to plan/LBE submissions and scenario analysis for channel business. Ensure that all affiliates and central teams are carrying One set of numbers.

  • ADS monitoring: Monitor and be part of ADS exercise which is owned by commercial but driven by channels team to ensure One set of numbers

Needs to work with:

Affiliate Finance, Central finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, IT, Demand Planners across 3 affiliates, Factories

Competencies

  • Strong business partnering and influencing skills
  • Expertise in pricing strategies and financial modeling
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of NPPA and other regulatory compliance so as to enable support to business and pricing
  • Project management and execution excellence

Job Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance, preferably in Pharma sector
  • Exposure to institutional pricing, government tenders, and channel business models
  • Hands-on experience in FP&A, P&L management, and marginal costing
