Job Description

To support the Financial Accountant in all aspects of management reporting, whilst ensuring that professional standards of financial accounts are maintained. The role includes liaison with local management, sales staff, and may sometimes require liaison with external accountants across the EMEA and India region

Responsibilities:

Management and Financial Reporting:

  • Assist the Financial Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the company, including detailed management of the purchase ledger, debtors ledger, and other relevant financial records.
  • Support the Financial Accountant in updating and maintaining the month-end reporting pack, ensuring all financial data is accurately compiled and presented.

Debtors Management:

  • Ensure accurate recording of debtors invoices and payments.
  • Ensure the timely recording and depositing of cheques and receipts.
  • Conduct thorough review and reconciliation of all debtor accounts at periodic intervals to maintain accuracy and address discrepancies.

Bookkeeping & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording of all entries in the books of accounts, adhering to established accounting principles.
  • Assist in the calculation and reconciliation of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and Service Tax, and facilitate the timely filing of challans that will serve as input for UBM (Unified Business Model/Management).

Audit Support:

  • Provide comprehensive assistance in both statutory audits and various other internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Prepare to engage in a wide spectrum of duties, ranging from posting journals to effectively communicating financial results to the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Work effectively with other accountants, business managers, and external parties, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional Skills Required - Essential:

  • Proven skills in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Good proficiency and expertise over Tax Return filing and record maintenance.
  • Highly competent in English, both written and oral.
  • Self-starter and good team player.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to use Excel (intermediate to advanced) with a high level of numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to manage overall finance activities.
