Role Overview :

IIT Bombay's Educational Outreach team is looking for a dynamic Assistant Program Manager to support the design and execution of high-impact educational programs, workshops, and outreach initiatives. The Finance & Accounts Manager will anchor the financial operations of executive education programmes under Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay. The role requires hands-on ownership of accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, along with close coordination with programme teams, participants, and institute finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Manage end-to-end financial operations across executive education programmes
  • Monitor budgets, revenues, and expenditures at a programme level
  • Track fee collections, refunds, and outstanding receivables
  • Prepare programme-wise financial summaries and statements
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and applicable statutory norms
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Maintain proper documentation for compliance and audit readiness

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for all programme transactions
  • Process invoices, receipts, and journal entries
  • Ensure correct allocation of revenues and costs
  • Conduct regular bank and ledger reconciliations

Billing & Financial Reporting

  • Raise invoices and coordinate with participants/corporates for collections
  • Track outstanding payments and ensure timely follow-ups
  • Maintain participant-level financial records
  • Prepare periodic MIS and financial reports for management
  • Provide insights into programme financial performance
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes

Eligibility Criteria

B.Com / Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance with minimum 8 years of relevant experience OR

MBA (Finance) / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) with minimum 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

CA / CMA (fully qualified)

Experience in programme finance, project accounting, within the education sector
