Role Overview
The Business Finance Analyst will partner closely with business, growth, and sales teams to drive financial planning, analysis, and decision-making. The role focuses on P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking to support Vedantu's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage business/category P&L, including revenue, cost, and margin analysis
- Prepare monthly MIS, dashboards, and variance analysis vs budget/forecast
- Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and re-forecasting exercises
- Work closely with Sales, Growth, and Strategy teams to evaluate business performance
- Analyze unit economics, CAC, LTV, contribution margins, and ROI for campaigns
- Track and control marketing, sales, and operational spends
- Identify cost-optimization and revenue-enhancement opportunities
- Assist leadership with financial insights, presentations, and decision support
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment with accounting and finance controls
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, FP&A, and P&L management
- Hands-on experience with Excel / Google Sheets (advanced level)
- Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA (Level 1 or above) / Commerce graduate with relevant experience
- 25 years of experience in Business Finance / FP&A / Analytics
- Prior experience in Ed-tech, Consumer Internet, SaaS, or Startup environments preferred
