About CleanStart
At CleanStart, we are building a fast-growing, technology-driven cybersecurity company with global operations. As we scale our international business, we need a finance professional who combines deep tax expertise — particularly in US taxation — with a strong understanding of the IT and SaaS industry.
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant who has worked with IT or SaaS companies, understands the nuances of corporate and international taxation, and can confidently manage US tax compliance and cross-border financial operations.
What You'll Be Working On
- Manage Indian corporate tax obligations including advance tax, MAT, TDS, and income tax return filings
- Ensure full compliance with GST
- Manage consolidated financial reporting across India, Singapore, and US entities
- Ensure accounting is aligned with applicable standards (Ind AS, IFRS, or US GAAP as required)
- Manage US federal and state tax compliance, including corporate income tax, sales tax nexus, and withholding tax obligations for the US entity
- Coordinate with US-based CPA firms or tax advisors for filings, audits, and tax planning
- Manage tax implications related to international client contracts, SaaS revenue recognition, and global service delivery
- Maintain proper documentation for cross-border transactions and intercompany agreements
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and scenario-based financial planning
- Strengthen internal financial controls and build scalable compliance processes
- Drive adoption and optimization of financial tools (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar)
What We're Looking For
Must-Have:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
- 4–6 years of experience, with a significant portion in IT, SaaS, or technology companies
- Hands-on experience with US corporate tax — federal filings, state tax nexus, withholding tax, or coordination with US CPA firms
- Working knowledge of international/global taxation — transfer pricing, tax treaties, cross-border transactions
- Strong command of Indian corporate tax — Income Tax, TDS, GST (especially IT/software export compliance)
- Experience managing multi-entity or group company accounting
Good to Have:
- Prior exposure to US GAAP or IFRS-based reporting
- Experience with SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606 or Ind AS 115)
- Familiarity with FBAR, FATCA, or US state-level tax requirements
Tools & Systems:
- Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar financial systems
- Comfortable with Excel-based reporting and financial modelling
