Role Description
We are looking for a high-calibre Finance and Accounts head to build and own our financial control and commercial intelligence function. This is a hands-on leadership role - you will sit close to the business, work directly with the promoters, and be responsible for turning financial data into real decisions.
Base Location - Ludhiana
Salary Expectations - 15 - 20 Lakhs/ annum
About the Role
- Accounts & Financial Close - own timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures with clean, transparent, and audit-ready accounts
- Statutory & Regulatory Compliance - oversee GST, TDS, advance tax, and all statutory filings in coordination with the accounts team
- Banking & Treasury - manage banking relationships, credit lines, LC/BG facilities, and day-to-day fund flow
- Vendor & Customer Ledger Integrity - ensure payables and receivables are reconciled, aged, and actioned on time with zero leakage
- MIS & Management Reporting - design and run daily/weekly/monthly dashboards covering sales, margins, working capital, and order performance
- Order-Level Costing & Profitability - build and maintain a full standard costing system; track every order from estimate to actual closure.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital - develop 30/60/90-day forecasts; actively manage receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Material & Cost Control - purchase vs. consumption tracking, wastage analysis, subcontractor reconciliation
- ERP Data Discipline - drive adoption and accuracy across production, stores, and finance
- Cross-functional collaboration - work with sales, production, and PPC to provide financial guidance and challenge loss-making decisions.
- Internal Controls & Governance - establish financial accountability across all functions
- Managing the F&A team, statutory audits, and internal audits.
Qualifications
- You are a qualified CA (ICAI) - non-negotiable, ICWA/ CS preferred
- You have 8 -12 years of experience with at least 5 years in a promoter-led manufacturing company of a turnover of 150 - 200 cr.
- You have hands-on experience in MIS, costing, banking relationships, and working capital control.
- You are strong in Tally, ERP systems/ SAP and advanced Excel; Power BI is a plus
- You have worked in textiles (preferred), garments, export manufacturing, or process industries
- You are commercially minded - not just an accountant, but a business thinker
- You are comfortable working on the factory floor and with operational teams
