Job Title: Manager Finance & Accounts (Cost Controller)
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: Finance Head/ Finance Controller
Summary:
- The position is responsible for leading the organisation's financial reporting cycle, analysing P&L performance, ensuring data accuracy, and providing actionable insights for controls and business decision-making.
- The role partners closely with operations, sales, supply chain, and Statutory finance to drive performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closure activities.
Responsibilities
Key deliverables:
- Preparation of Management Reporting P&L, Balance sheet and other key MIS reports.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closure activities in required for MR reporting deliverables
- Drive Costing for Paper Mills and Converting plants.
- Budgetary controls for fixed cost and approved capex spend.
- Analyse revenue drivers (GSV, NSV) channels performance and for key products.
- Perform Monthly/ Quarterly reconciliation with Statutory financials.
- Preparation of monthly stock reconciliations and coordination with respective stake holders across mills and converting units.
- Ensure accurate Inventory valuations for Management reporting and SR reporting.
Other deliverables and controls:
- Compliances: ensure Management reporting and statutory compliances are aligned.
- Inter unit transactions: coordinate and ensure timely clearance for smooth monthly closing.
- SOP/ COA: Ensuring, following, supervising the agreed SOP and Business Chart of Authority.
- Track performance against planned and proposed corrective actions
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment across accounting systems (Real Book), MIS and Corporate Reporting Systems.
- Socializing and/ or training soft and technical skill and other work-related knowledge to colleagues/ subordinates
Requirements
- University degree in Accounts & Finance/ CMA/ MBA Fin/ CA
- 5-10 plus year of experience of working in similar profile (Management reporting and P&L analysis)
- Strong knowledge of P&L analysis, budgeting and forecasting for a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
