About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing international accounting and advisory firm supporting businesses across Australia. The firm provides end-to-end services including bookkeeping, taxation, financial reporting, and advisory services to SMEs and growing enterprises.

As part of their expansion, they are looking to hire a Senior Finance & Accounts Manager with strong exposure to Australian accounting standards and taxation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Australian accounting operations including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
  • Handle Australian taxation compliances, including BAS, GST, and income tax returns.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Work closely with Australian clients to understand business requirements and provide financial insights.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including CPAs, auditors, and tax consultants.
  • Implement best practices in financial controls, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work where required.

Key Requirements

  • 45 years of experience in accounting with exposure to Australian accounting and taxation.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA (Australia) / CA / ACCA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AASB, BAS, GST, and Australian tax regulations.
  • Experience working with Australian clients or accounting firms.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in outsourced accounting services for international clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
